Anthony Roberts is a product of Trenton, New Jersey, attending the Trenton public system from grades kindergarten through tenth grades, graduating from Morrisville Junior/Senior High School (Morrisville, Pa.) in 1969. He is a graduate of Howard University (Bachelor of Science) 1973 and Howard University School of Law (Juris Doctorate) 1976, Washington D.C. His first job out of law school was with the Federal Reserve Board in D.C. whereby he was tasked with writing a “position paper” on the commercial law doctrine entitled the Holder-In-Due-Course rule. 
 
Returning to New Jersey in 1978, he was hired as the Director of the Trenton Model Neighborhood Policy Board’s Education Advocacy Program, speaking on behalf of local Trenton public school students and clerked at night for William L. Muckleroy, patent attorney. He went on to work for Essex-Newark Legal Services (poverty law firm, 13 years) running its Pro Bono Program for all of Essex County and recently worked as Acting Business Administrator (Tony Mack Administration) for the City of Trenton. Anthony has three children and resides with wife of twenty + years (Sylvia) in Trenton.
