Clarence E. Matthews, Sr. has been the Senior Minister at the North Clinton Ave. Church of Christ (Trenton, New Jersey) for the past fifty (50) years. He is accomplished in helping members strengthen relationships with God by guiding individuals throughout service activities. Brother Matthews has over fifty years of teaching and preaching the Gospel in the Church of Christ coupled with over fifty years’ experience in pastoral care and spiritual leadership, resulting in consistent church growth.He has been committed to creating thriving communities by guiding and directing individuals who have been transformed by hearing the Gospel and applying their individual and collective spiritual knowledge to everyday living. Brother Matthews has a successful background in organizational leadership, ministry program development and mission-oriented strategic planning.Clarence E. Matthews, Sr. was also a public servant for the City of Trenton for thirty-seven (37) years. He served both as a Housing and Building Inspector and also served for over twenty-five years as a Cost Estimator within the Department of Housing Development under the Holland, Armenti and Palmer Administrations. He left public service in 2003.
