Lavern’s place of birth is Georgetown Guyana. She migrated to the United States in 1980 where she met her husband and is a proud mother of three young adults. In addition to being a board member of the North Clinton Avenue Benevolence Project Inc. Lavern is a board trustee of the Free Public Library of Trenton.
